Job Information

The contracted Information Security Analyst reports directly to the Information Security Officer. The Information Security Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to insure compliance of the organization’s privacy and IS policies and procedures. The Information Security Analyst is responsible for project management planning, executing, and managing a variety of technical, regulatory, and educational-based projects for the Information Security Programs. With oversight from the Information Security Officer, the Information Security Analyst also assists in drafting policies, implementing technical tools, and is responsible for drafting and implementing system-wide research procedures and responding to inquiries from internal research stakeholders.
The Information Security Analyst will perform privacy and Information Security operational functions within the research privacy and Information Security program, including activities related to the confidentiality, access, use, and disclosure of protected health information (PHI) and other confidential research information. The Information Security Analyst will investigate and maintain documentation of Information Security inquiries; ensure timely responses to internal customers; conduct security risk assessments; and monitor and assist in the development of key elements of the Information Security program, including the implementation and use of software applications. The Information Security Analyst will also aid in the development of standardized processes and procedures.
This role will possess creative problem-solving skills and experience in facilitating desired results from cross-functional teams to enhance the proactive Information Security Program.

Required:

Hospital or Healthcare Information Security experience
