Network Engineer San Francisco
Responsibilities
• Administration and provisioning of Cisco LAN and WAN devices including firewalls, switches, routers, VPN; SBC’s and Media Gateways; F5 Load Balancers
• Design and Engineering of high availability LAN and WAN environments capable of dynamic failover
• Development of security network component configurations thru the use of standards
• Oversee system upgrades, backups, recovery
• Provide network equipment provisioning and installation
• Troubleshoot within SLA complex enterprise network problems
• Participate in Incident, Problem, Service and Change management
• Accurately document complex network environments using industry standard tools
• On-call support rotation
Requirements
• CCNP and 3-5 years of related experience in support of converged networks, systems, firewalls, routers, switches, voice, and video, T1
• Technical knowledge of network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, T1, DS-3, 802.11x, MPLS
• Excellent grasp of internet, network security, and intrusion detection systems
• Practical experience with Network and Systems Monitoring tools
• Proficient with SQL, MS Office, and the use of Visio for design drawing
• Excellent understanding of VPN and secure remote access technologies
• Experience with packet captures and analysis
• Ability to review processes and procedures on the network and make recommendations to management
• Maintain the firm standards as they apply to information, data, network, and systems security.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
