Software Engineer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Software Engineer who excels in Java, J2EE technologies, RESTful web services, JavaScript, OO Design and Agile development methodologies.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement new products or enhancements and extensions to existing product services through reuse, open source, commercial offerings, integrations, and efficient/effective new development.
• Productively interact with Product Managers, DBAs, QA Engineers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of established standards and best practices of design, development, documentation, unit testing, and code reviews.
• Write and maintain technical and non-technical documentation.
• Communicate effectively, respectfully, and timely with all members of the ASI community.
• Act as tier-3 support for production services.

What You’ll Need:

• B.S. in computer Science or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-level commercial/SaaS software
• Success in an Agile development environment, multi-tasking, able to work on multiple concurrent project, products, platforms, and languages
• Thorough understanding, knowledge and hands-on experience in Java, J2EE technologies, Javascript and Hibernate
• Experience with API development and RESTful web services.
• Object-modeling, -analysis, -design and entity-relationship modeling experience
• Good understanding of relational databases, schema design fundamentals, SQL
• Adept with PHP, Tomcat, JSON, XML/XSLT, Apache Web Server, HTML, and CSS
• Desire to learn and work on new technologies.
• Analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong personal and professional commitment to deadlines and deliverables
