Systems Engineer  South Bay (1)  

 The Systems/Data Center Engineer position will require proven enterprise level experience in a large-scale data center distributed computing environments that operate 7x24x365.  The Systems/Data Center Engineer will be part of a team leading the technical efforts to support the enterprise data center in the South Bay.  The scope of work will require the engineer to assess the technical risks and plan Windows server support, updates and migrations as necessary.  Working with various technical teams, business owners and application support team the Systems/Data Center Engineer will plan and coordinate with network, systems, storage, data center, and applications the build and migration of systems and infrastructure for multiple locations. 

 The desired candidate will have experience working in a medium to large scale environments administrating the following technologies: Windows Server operating systems 2008 / 2012, VMWare 5.x, SCCM 2007/2012, Active Directory 2008, Exchange 2007/2013, Citrix 6.5.  The Systems/Data Center Engineer will also provide escalation support for incident management on a variety of infrastructure and business applications. 

•     7+ years support for Microsoft Windows and VMware running on HP & Cisco blade server platforms is preferred.

•     MCSE & ITIL certifications are highly desirable.

•    Implementing and administrating TCP/IP-based services, including DNS,      DHCP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH, SMTP, IIS, DFS, print services, and other infrastructure components as required for large-scale systems implementations and projects.

•  IT experience within a hospital or healthcare environment a plus+

•  Experience with EPIC device configuration a plus+

•    Provides training and mentoring to junior and mid-level team members.

•   Leads and/or participates in highly complex projects.

•    Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills.

•    Able to articulate technical and user needs in a concise manner and easily understood by all.

•    Demonstrated experience in the following disciplines: troubleshooting, incident management and root cause analysis.

•     Experience with enterprise change management practices and guidelines (ITIL).
